Lori Loughlin Files for Divorce from Husband Mossimo Giannulli One Year After Separation

The former "Full House" star's marriage to the fashion designer has come to a legal end, more than a year after they first announced they were parting ways. Sources say the fallout from their 2020 legal troubles never fully faded.

Lori Loughlin is officially closing the book on her marriage. The actress has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of nearly 30 years, designer Mossimo Giannulli, just over a year after it was first revealed they were separating.

Court documents obtained by People show that Loughlin listed August 31, 2025, as the date of separation — around the time she and Giannulli began living apart — and cited irreconcilable differences as grounds for the split.

Word of the breakup didn't reach the public until two months later, when Loughlin's representative, Elizabeth Much, confirmed it in a statement. "They are living apart and taking a break from their marriage. There are no legal proceedings at this time," Much said on October 2, 2025.

The filing also revealed that the couple — who share two daughters, Isabella Rose, 27, and Olivia Jade, 26 — had signed a prenuptial agreement ahead of their November 1997 wedding, which they later amended in 2015.

Once news of the separation broke, an insider told People that Loughlin's inner circle had firmly taken her side. "They do not like him," the source said of Giannulli, 63. "They are very angry with him."

By January, another insider said that Loughlin remained "still extremely angry" with her estranged husband, though Giannulli reportedly hoped to see "everything resolved quietly."

Insiders point to the couple's 2020 college admissions scandal as a major factor behind the split.

Loughlin and Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 to a college consultant who falsely presented their daughters as recruits for the University of Southern California's crew team, and both later pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud.

"Lori feels betrayed," the source added. "They're in very different places right now, and it's unlikely that they'll find their way back together."
